Books to reread soon

I recently shared my opinions on rereading and thought that now would be the perfect time to share some of the books I’d like to try and reread in the next little while. Enjoy! ❁ The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells The Book Thief by Markus Zusak The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern The Martian by Andy Weir The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald Advertisements

TV shows I want to re-watch

I’m posting every single day in September! Go here to check out everything I’ve talked about so far! This is a weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish. You can find out more info here! In honour of the Fall TV season (or Spring, as I’m in Australia) this week Top Ten Tuesday is themed around television instead of books! Since TV is probably just as big part of my life as books, this made me extremely excited. Because I already have planned some other television topics that I want to write about I had to be creative when thinking of something to talk about today. Since rereading has been on my mind a lot lately, I thought I would continue on that and talk about some of the TV shows I want to re-watch soon! For some reason I am a lot better at re-watching television than I am rereading books. Oops. If you’re a fan of Grey’s Anatomy, you will probably agree with me that the earliest seasons are the absolute bees knees. …

On rereading

I’m posting every single day in September! Go here to check out everything I’ve talked about so far! Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about my reading habits. And the fact that I have not reread a book consciously in a few years now. As a child I used to savour reading my favourite books. I would not only spend my time fully immersing into the story, but I would reread my favourite books over and over again until I knew them cover to cover. I cherished my reading time. Nowadays? Not so much. Don’t get me wrong – reading is still an incredibly large and important part of my life. But in a different way. Over the past couple of years I have read upwards of 50 books a year with the hopes that each and every one of them will become a new favourite that I hope to reread for the rest of my life. I intend to reread my favourites time and time again and yet…. I don’t. In the past few years I have reread …

This or That Book Tag

I’m posting every single day in September! Go here to check out everything I’ve talked about so far! I’ve seen this tag floating around the blogosphere for ages now so I finally decided I’d give it a go. I know this is a pretty simple set of questions, but I hope you guys enjoy my answers anyway! This tag was originally created by Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks so definitely go give her some love! Reading on the couch or on the bed? I’m a person who always reads in bed. Always. I constantly gravitate towards my bed over a couch. I love getting under my blankets with a nice cup of tea and getting all cozy with my book. Male main character or female main character? Because I am a girl I do find it interesting reading from the male perspective! But if I had the choice, I would probably go for females. I’m all about that girl power! Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading? Salty! I’m definitely a savoury girl. Too much sweets makes me sick but I could eat a never ending …

My Favourite Booktubers

I’m posting every single day in September! Go here to check out everything I’ve talked about so far! I still consider myself relatively new to the book-blogging world, however, I consider myself a booktube veteran. I may not have a channel (well, one I actually use) but I have been watching booktube for at least the past 4 years and feel like I’ve been there through all the major twists and turns that side of the internet has been through. In saying that, there are a few people who’s videos I constantly gravitate towards. I watch a lot of booktube, so trying to list every single channel would be a mammoth of a task, but there are some favourites that are near and dear to my heart and I’d like to share those today! (I’m also going to throw in some videos I recommend watching, so if you don’t like unhauls and purging books – look away now!) Ariel (of ArielBissett) I cannot remember how I actually discovered booktube (something that still bothers me to this day) but I …

September To Be Read

I’m posting every single day in September! Go here to check out everything I’ve talked about so far! I’m not one for TBRs. In fact, I’m pretty certain that if there was a competition for biggest to-be-read hater the award would go to me. I find it nearly impossible to schedule my reading – I’m your typical mood reader. However in saying that I’m going to try and stick to a (kind of) TBR throughout September. I have included a bunch of different genres and books that I’ve recently thought would float my boat – so I think I can maybe stick to it? Possibly? I’ll update you at the end of the month! Asking for It by Louise O’Neill This one is probably the biggest if on my shelf this month. I say that because I have tried to pick this up numerous times before and it’s never grabbed my attention, but I’m half way through another YA book at the moment (my first for months!) and I feel like maybe it’s the perfect time to try this again. Wild: From Lost …

The September Daily.

Over the past couple of months I have realised how important this blog is to me. Yes, not many people actually read every post I write. And sure, there are far better blogs (both in writing and quality) going around the blogosphere. But personally this little blog means everything to me. Not only do I get to talk endlessly about books, but it takes my mind off the absolute shit-storm that can be reality sometimes. And for those reasons, I have challenged myself to post every single day in September. I will admit upfront that I won’t be writing every single day (I just don’t have that kind of time) but I really want to commit and have at least one post scheduled per day for the entire month of September. I love it when my favourite blogs or youtube channels post daily. It’s not only something that makes you feel closer to who you are reading/watching but professionally it gives yourself a larger brand. This blog isn’t something I do professionally (not many people do) but while I’m not …
