RYBSAT Round 5!

Another week, another read-a-thon! When I’m posting this it’s Monday morning, which means that RYBSAT (read-your-book-shelf-a-thon) Round 5 has officially begun! For those interested, RYBSAT (@RYBSAT15) is a read-a-thon created by booktuber Miranda (@BooKss101M) where you choose a spot on your bookshelf and read on from there! This will be the first #RYBSAT I will be participating in, and I’m pretty excited to read as much as I can this week as I have no assignments due for uni! 1. The Assassins Blade by Sarah J. Maas – I can’t believe I still haven’t read this one! I’ve been putting it off for a while now, simply because I didn’t want to not have any of this world to look forward to. But with Sarah’s new book out, and the 4th Throne of Glass book due out in September, I have lots of Sarah coming my way and no reason to put this off any longer! 2. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas – I was supposed to read this one …

Bout of Books 13!

This Bout of Books read-a-thon marks the 7th I will have participated in! That in itself is an achievement in my eyes, however with essays due left right and centre for University I still am hoping to acomplish a bit more than saying ‘I have technically participated in 7 bout of books read-a-thons! If you’d like to sign up as well, here’s a little bit of info! The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 11th and runs through Sunday, May 17th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 13 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team I don’t have a set TBR for myself this time, as I have essays for Uni due. However …

Weekend Reads and TV #3

It’s Easter! I’m not religious in any sense of the word, however I do enjoy the time of school/university to spend time with family and have a rest! This year my extended family and I are going camping, and much like every other camping trip we have been on, my cousins and I have plans to sit around a camp fire and read to our hearts content! At night (when I can’t sleep due to a mixture of insomia/being in a tent/not having my bed) I tend to watch movies or TV shows over reading, since they are easier when laying down. So since I have a little bit planned this long weekend, I thought I would let you know what I plan on reading! (Spoiler alert, it’s very similar to last weeks). A Dance With Dragons by George R. R. Martin – I have already started this one (!!!) however camping trips are usually the time I get the most reading done, so hopefully I’ll be able to read a lot of this one this …

Top Ten Books I Recently Added to My TBR List

This is a weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish. You can find out more info here! This post is going up late as I’ve just gotten back from Melbourne (well, yesterday. I was busy alright?!) But I really want to keep up with these weekly features to ensure I actually continue to post frequently! So here goes nothing! Since I have been keeping my Goodreads TBR list down quite dramatically at the moment (I only have 37 books listed on there now) I found it hard to come up with 10 books that I have recently added, as most of them are ones I have been wanting to read for a long time now! So I’ve kept this post short and sweet. 1. A Darker Shade of Magic by V. E. Schwab – Unless you have been away from the internet for the past few months, you know that everyone has been raving about this book! I really want to pick up a copy soon and see what all the fuss is about! …

Autumn TBR!

It feels so strange saying that it’s autumn already! After living through the coldest summer I’ve ever experienced (Tasmania, why do you do this) it’s now autumn and I swear it’s actually warmer than it was during December. I will admit that 2015 started off rather well, I’ve already read 37 books (most being graphic novels, if I’m completely honest) but now that I’ve started University I feel like my reading is definitely going to slow down. So I thought I would make a small list of books I really want to read this autumn! 1. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas – This is probably one of my most anticipated books for 2015! The arc-reviews have been absolutely incredible and I am so extremely jealous of everyone who has managed to get a copy of this already. I’m anxiously awaiting May 5th to get my hands on this one! 2. Vicious by V. E. Schwab – This has been hyped up so much but I have faith I’m still going …
