I finished my first journal!

It’s such a strange feeling when you get to the last page of a journal. When something has been so near and dear to you for months, it’s not surprising that it’s hard to put it away on a shelf only to start fresh with a blank canvas. At least, that’s how I felt when I finished my latest journal.

I have always been the girl who writes. Whether or not it was jotting lists on post-it notes or random thoughts on legal pads, I have always been a writer. I aspire to be an author. I love posting my work online, and I love blogging. So it’s strange for me to think that I never once finished a full journal until the age of 20 – but hey, here we are.

Keeping a journal is something I am so passionate about. It helps you organise your thoughts, your feelings and keeps your memories all together in a single place without worrying about what people think. It’s your own personal safehaven. I carry mine around everywhere with me, always allowing a moment a day (no matter how little amount of time) to write even just a few words.

So today I want to share a few pages from my last journal with you so you have a little insight into my mind.

Note: I did consider a flip-through video, however I started and finished this journal whilst I was in the darkest point of my mental illness and was beginning my sobriety journey – so a vast majority of this journal is definitely too personal to share on the internet. But there are some pages I thought were cute to share, so take a peek!
