I’m posting every single day in September! Go here to check out everything I’ve talked about so far!
I’ve seen this tag floating around the blogosphere for ages now so I finally decided I’d give it a go. I know this is a pretty simple set of questions, but I hope you guys enjoy my answers anyway!
This tag was originally created by Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks so definitely go give her some love!
Reading on the couch or on the bed? I’m a person who always reads in bed. Always. I constantly gravitate towards my bed over a couch. I love getting under my blankets with a nice cup of tea and getting all cozy with my book.
Male main character or female main character? Because I am a girl I do find it interesting reading from the male perspective! But if I had the choice, I would probably go for females. I’m all about that girl power!
Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading? Salty! I’m definitely a savoury girl. Too much sweets makes me sick but I could eat a never ending bag of chips forever!
Trilogies or quartets? It really does depend on the series that I’m reading. Truthfully I will always prefer a stand alone over a series, but if books are worthy of sequels I’d probably rather quartets – they take longer to finish!!
First person point of view or third person point of view? I feel like I’m the only person around who will say this but…. third. I remember back in 2011 when I started reading The Hunger Games I was literally gobsmacked by the fact that it was in first person. Up until then I had scarcely read any books written in first person and even now I still haven’t quite gotten used to it. I love reading in third person.
Reading at night or in the morning? Even though I can imagine myself being a morning reader – I haven’t progressed that far in my life just yet! I’m definitely a read-before-bed kind of gal. I definitely want to try start reading more first thing in the morning though!
Libraries or bookstores? Bookstores! As much as I love libraries, I can’t help but fall in love with all the new books in a bookshop. I love the smell, I love the options, and I love owning books that are near and dear to my heart.
Books that make you laugh or make you cry? It is pretty hard to find a book that will make me laugh or cry! However I really do enjoy reading comedic memoirs or absolutely heartbreaking books. It’s really hard to pick!
Black book covers or white book covers? I love black because they don’t get as grubby but…. White books (or anything really) always look really new and clean and I love it.
Character driven or plot driven stories? If I could choose both I would but I personally don’t see any point in a plot driven story if the characters aren’t strong, so I will always say characters first.
So that was it! Do you guys agree with what I’ve said or are you the complete opposite? Let me know!! ❁
