This week I have some exciting news! Believe it or not, there are barely any books that I have sitting constantly on my TBR pile since I first joined the book community! Can you believe it?!
My TBR has changed drastically since I first started online. I cut my Goodreads TBR from almost 300 down to just over 30 in the past 2 years. I love not being overwhelmed by the books I want to read. Of course I want to read more than 30 books in my life time, but for the meanwhile I’d like so only focus on a set few.
So today I’m here to share a few stand outs that have made the cut (but I haven’t picked up…) since 2012! Enjoy!
Is Everyone Hanging out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling
This book (along with Bossypants by Tina Fey and Yes Please by Amy Poehler) is one of the comedic memoirs I have had floating around my TBR for years now. But for some reason I have never gravitated towards this one first. I think this is mostly due to the fact that I never started watching The Mindy Project and don’t feel as though I would fully appreciate this one until I do. But alas, I would still like to read this in the future so it remains on my TBR!
I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai
If you haven’t heard of Malala or her book I’m pretty sure you haven’t been around the past few years. I know the basics of her story and have always intended on reading her biography at some point but I have never gotten around to it – which is a big shame because I hear absolutely incredible things! This is definitely one I will be picking up in the future!
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
Again, I’m pretty ashamed that I have not read this book. I have owned this book for almost 4 years now but for some reason it still remains unread on my shelf (although I hope to change this soon, I’m actually on page 20!) This one is one of the few novels that I would never consider dropping from my TBR. The reason this one has stuck around for so long however (as I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned before) I made the mistake of watching the movie back in 2014 after putting off reading it for two years! Definitely not my shinning moment – but one I hope to mend soon 🙂
So those are the three most interesting books that I have kept on my TBR since joining the online book community! What books have you kept sitting on your TBR for years? If you did this topic please link it down below I’d love to give it a read! ❁
