Weekend Reads #10

So I just had a good old scroll back through my blog and realised I haven’t posted a weekend reads since February. February. That’s over 6 months ago. Jesus Christ 2016 is going quickly! But since I’m off work this weekend and I’m expecting to have a pretty relaxing time, I thought I might share with you a few of the books I could possibly be reading over the next few days. But who knows, I could just end up binge-watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix like I have been all week!!

1. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. I am only a short way into this one but I am really keen to continue on reading now that I’ve finally picked it up. If you’ve been living under a rock this is a psychological thriller about a woman who goes missing and the repercussions that has on her husband. I’ve seen the movie so I’m a bit spoiled, but I’m excited none the less!

2. Girl Meets Boy by Ali Smith. I have been reading this book for a few weeks now and haven’t really made much progress, but considering how short this book is compared to some of the others I’m reading (*cough* Infinite Jest) it’s far more likely I’ll try pick this one up to cross another book off my TBR.

3. Furiously Happy: A Funny Book about Horrible Things by Jenny Lawson. I have been slowly making my way through this book for a couple of months now, but regardless of the fact that I have been reading it for so long I am really enjoying it. Dealing with mental illness and funny antidotes I can’t understand how people couldn’t find this amusing. (I guess I have a twisted, crazy sense of humour sometimes!)

I am reading a few other books at the moment which you can see on my Goodreads but I highly doubt I’ll be picking any of those chunky fellas up in the next little while! I need some beauty rest! Let me know what you’re planning on reading this weekend down below! ❁
