Currently Reading [1]

This week I made the unfortunate mistake of being a lazy shit so I didn’t get around to posting a weekend reads! I schedule a lot of posts on my blog due to working overnights 4+ nights a week and usually spending the other ones out or asleep, so the posts that have to be up to date are usually hit or miss to whether or not they actually happen.

Anyway, enough rambling. Because I missed posting a weekend reads on Friday afternoon, I decided I would post a currently reading today instead! Let’s go!

The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith (J. K. Rowling)

Instead of picking up A Dance with Dragons (the fifth Game of Thrones book) when I was camping, I picked up The Silkworm! I read the first book in this series when I was camping two years ago and figured it would be an easy book to read while I was away! Unfortunately I didn’t get far into this one and I’m not currently deep into the mystery, but I’m definitely enjoying this one immensely and I love the writing style!

Captive Prince by C. S. Pacat

Recently I started talking to an old tumblr friend and a few days later she recommended this one to me on Goodreads! I was going to be good and stick to priority reads for January (at least) but I had to pick this one up immediately after reading the synopsis because it sounded incredible. Captive Prince is a character-driven fantasy novel with LGBTQIA+ themes! It was originally posted online and it definitely has a fanfiction vibe, but I love it so much so far!

More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera

I went on a kindle-book-buying-spree after working overnight this morning, and in my sleep deprived state I decided it was a good idea to buy 5+ books! This was just one of them, and even though I was exhausted I managed to fly through 23% of this one before passing out. This one is a debut contemporary novel that deals with race, class and LGBTQIA+ themes. I’m so incredibly into this novel, and I can bet this will be the next one I finish!

So those are the books I am currently reading! Have you read any of them? Let me know down below! X
