Weekend Reads #6

This weekend I am actually travelling interstate for a holiday! I was originally going to see 5 Seconds of Summer play in Brisbane, Australia, however I’ve since sold my concert ticket and now I’m just taking myself on a little trip and going to see some family friends.

While there are quite a few different shops and vegan restaurants I want to pop to while I am there, I also want to use the the trip as an excuse to just relax and get a bunch of reading done! So I thought it was appropriate to let you know what I was planning on reading!

Cress by Marissa Meyer. I am currently reading the third book in the Lunar Chronicles which I have been putting off since it was published in February 2014. I think my main reason for putting this book off for so long was that I had to wait an entirety for the fourth and final book, however now that the release date for Winter is drawing closer, I saw it as a perfect opportunity to pick this up! I absolutely love this series and world and definitely recommend it to anyone that enjoys YA sci fi novels and fairytale retellings. I really want to try finish it on my flight to Brisbane!

The Assassin’s Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke. My friend Ellie and I have been looking to buddy read a book for a while now and we ended up settling on The Assassin’s Curse. This book has been sitting on my kindle for over two years now so I’m very excited to finally pick it up.

Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley. If I have a chance to pick up another book, the one at the top of my list is Magonia. This is mainly because I own the kindle edition and I’m only travelling with my kindle, however this book has been compared to The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender which I am also extremely interested in reading!

What are you planning on reading this weekend? Let me know! X
